Infrared obstacle avoidance is on three sides; forwards, left and right, not backwards, up and down. It is recommended to only use obstacle avoidance mode indoors in a space of at least six by six meters. In obstacle avoidance mode slow speed is used and fast speed can not be turned on. Obstacle avoidance works best around light coloured objects, it can have difficulty with dark or glass surfaces. If you fly too close to the ceiling, the drone will lose control. Two K101 Maxs within 5 meters of each other or other infrared devices can interfere with obstacle avoidance.
When flying outside, ensure to fly in mild wind conditions and sheltered areas only.
Please note that there is an error in the manual, the LED light on the battery is off when charging and turns on when charging is complete, not the opposite.
